I recommend Weebly a lot! It is very simple to use and build a really stylish website for your classroom or yourself.
Love finding useful stuff like this :)

What education book has been most influential in shaping your career (content-specific, age-specific books are welcome!)?
I’m not a teacher yet, but I have a book called Alternative Rehearsal Techniques by Lisk (I believe that’s right—I don’t want to have to drag the book out right now :P ) that really changed how I thought about the band classroom, warm ups, approach to music… everything. It made me incredibly excited to have my own classroom someday and possibly get to try the ideas out!
Designing a Timeline
A great introduction for those of you who are interested. My only complaint is that they didn’t link to any timeline tools.
If you’re that motivated, there’s an easy and free(mium) one called Dipity, and a similar (but more visual and multimedia friendly) tool called Tiki-Toki.

Definitely a handy little tool—it’s helpful to put events in music history next to the other events that were happening in the world, to give some context.
I absolutely need to remember to put this on my wall someday.
