Love this! If you’re looking for ideas about warm ups, there is a great book by Edward Lisk called The Creative Director: Alternative Rehearsal Techniques. It really changed the way I think about warm ups and the band setting, and it will definitely influence my approach to the band classroom.
Also, just to add to singing in the band classroom - singing will help students improve their intonation. If they can sing and internalize the pitch they’re hearing, they’ll have an easier time matching it on their instrument.
